Feminist dystopia is a genre that takes real patriarchal power and pushes it to its logical extreme, until you can finally see it for what it is.
This game runs on Margaret Atwood's rule for The Handmaid's Tale. She would not put anything in the book that hadn't already happened to a real woman somewhere. Same rule here. Every seed below is real history. None of it is invented.
That's the whole point. The present trains you to treat this stuff as normal, or already over, or somebody else's problem. Building the dystopia out of what actually happened shows you what's still here and where it's headed. Once you can see it coming, you can name it and build past it.
