Letters from the Future

Letters from the Future is a speculative fiction project delivered as a monthly snail mail subscription. Each month, subscribers receive physical mail from a near-future where the feminine principle governs — a letter from someone living there, an artifact from their world, and a ritual to practice in the present.

I started this because I wanted to practice believing in something. The matriarchy gets talked about as a distant utopia or a punchline. I wanted to make it feel closer. Tangible. Something you could hold in your hands. So I started sending mail.

The project lives in the tradition of world-building through ephemera — mundane paper trails from extraordinary timelines. Appointment reminders, community announcements, personal correspondence. The kind of mail that piles up on a kitchen counter because the world is functioning and you’re just living in it. Subscribers collect proof that another world is possible.

The mythology centers on The Mothers (eternal, feminine, the ones sending these transmissions backward through time), The Forgetting (what buried the feminine principle in the first place), and The Remembering (what happens when you start to wake up). The project explores matriarchy, care economies, cyclical time, and the body’s knowing.

Launches April 2026.
